The world is growing darker by the day, and yet so many are still asleep. Wake up! Be alert! The signs of the End Times are all around us.
This morning, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon ordered the assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the blind Muslim cleric and founder of the terrorist group Hamas. As Yassin exited the mosque shortly after sunrise, an Israeli helicopter fired three missiles that struck him directly. Palestinians later carried what remained of his body through the streets, shouting threats of revenge and hatred toward Israel.
Yassin was responsible for orchestrating hundreds of suicide bombings that killed nearly 300 innocent Israelis. His death could easily ignite another wave of violence across the Middle East.
In light of these events, it’s as if the Lord Himself is saying:
“Wake up from your slumber! The alarm is sounding! Be watchful!”
You might not see the smoke yet, but the fire is already spreading.
Be Alert — The Time Is Short
Romans 13:11–12
“The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”
We are living in prophetic times. Yet, much of the Church remains spiritually asleep—comfortable, complacent, and blind to the urgency of the hour.
Evangelist Charles Finney once wrote:
“When sinners are careless and stupid, and sinking into hell unconcerned, it is time the church should bestir themselves. It is as much the duty of the church to awake as it is for the firemen to awake when a fire breaks out in the night in a great city.”
Likewise, preacher Ian Paisley warned:
“The church of Jesus Christ is largely sleeping, like a great bedroom full of Christians in bed saying, ‘Please, don’t wake me up!’ But when the Spirit of God moves, people cannot sleep. ‘Awake! Awake! Put on strength!’ (Isaiah 52:1). Wake up, sleepy Christians! Arise from the dead! Christ will give you life!”
The message is clear — it’s time to wake up, be watchful, and prepare for the Rapture.
Signs of the Times
In recent months, world events have unfolded at a breathtaking pace:
- Moral decline is accelerating across America. City mayors in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland have endorsed gay marriage, openly defying state laws and God’s design for marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman.
- The Episcopal Church installed its first openly gay bishop, V. Gene Robinson, who claimed that “God is doing something new.” But Scripture is clear—God’s Word never changes.
- Mel Gibson’s film The Passion of the Christ has become a worldwide phenomenon, earning hundreds of millions at the box office. Many see it as a “last call” for repentance before the Lord’s return.
- The capture of Saddam Hussein on December 14, 2003, marked a decisive act of divine justice against one of the world’s most brutal tyrants. His regime has fallen, and his sons met their end in violence.
- The hunt for Osama bin Laden continues, but his downfall too is only a matter of time. God’s justice will not sleep forever.
All of these events—moral collapse, conflict in Israel, the rise of sin and deception—point to what the Bible prophesied long ago.
The Call to Be Watchful
The End Times are not coming—they are here. Prophecy is unfolding before our eyes. The signs are too numerous to ignore: wars, earthquakes, moral confusion, false teachers, and spiritual apathy.
Now is the time to wake up, be watchful, and stand firm in faith. Christ’s return draws near, and the Rapture could happen at any moment.
“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.”
— Romans 13:12
Are you ready to meet Him?
Are you Rapture Ready?
