The Pretribulation
Rapture
Olivier Melnick: This is getting Interesting! Red Heifer, Rapture and Third Temple?
Many are talking about the five red heifers recently flown from Texas to Israel. But what does this mean for Bible prophecy? Are these heifers truly kosher, and could they provide the ashes required for the purification of the priests in preparation for the Third Temple? Join us as we explore the prophetic significance of this remarkable event and why it has believers around the world paying close attention.
This is getting Interesting! Red Heifer, Rapture and Third Temple?
Shalom, my friends. Today I have an exciting program—I’m going to talk to you about the red heifer. Most of you have already heard about it, I’m sure, but the question is: has the red heifer been found, and if so, what’s next?
First, make sure you subscribe, hit the bell, and give us a thumbs up. It really helps.
To say that we’re living in exciting times is an understatement. World events are converging at such a rapid pace that it’s impossible to keep up. For Bible students like myself, it’s both exhilarating and concerning to see the whole planet moving toward a one-world government so quickly.
I’ve been a believer for 39 years, and during that time I’ve firmly trusted what the Bible says about the end times, a one-world government, and a cashless society. But honestly, I never thought it would happen in my lifetime. And yet, here we are—it seems closer than ever.
The next event on God’s prophetic timetable is the Rapture of believers from planet Earth. This is a signless event, meaning nothing else needs to happen before it takes place. It could happen anytime. That’s why we call it “imminent.” After the Rapture, those left behind will go through increasingly perilous times known as the time of Jacob’s Trouble, or as most of us call it—the Great Tribulation.
This seven-year period will end with the triumphant return of Yeshua, the Messiah, who will inaugurate His Messianic—or Millennial—Kingdom. During the Great Tribulation, more precisely at the midpoint (after three and a half years), the temple in Jerusalem will be desecrated. But which temple?
Not counting the wilderness tabernacle after the Exodus, the Bible speaks of four temples.
First Temple: Solomon’s Temple, built after David’s preparations (1 Kings 5–9, 2 Chronicles 2–7).
Second Temple: Rebuilt after Nebuchadnezzar’s destruction, completed by Zerubbabel around 515 BC, later expanded into Herod’s Temple.
That Temple was destroyed in 70 AD by the Roman general Titus.
Currently, Israel does not have a temple in Jerusalem. But are things about to change?
The Bible speaks of a third and a fourth temple. The fourth will be the Millennial Temple described in Ezekiel 40–46. The Third Temple has been the focus of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem for decades, along with other organizations. Many religious Jews are convinced it will soon be rebuilt, and sacrifices will resume. From a prophetic standpoint, they are correct—this temple must be rebuilt in order for the Antichrist to desecrate it.
To prepare, they have already recreated all of the implements necessary for temple worship. Even the priests from the tribe of Levi are being trained. The tribe of Levi is identifiable because its name has been preserved in family names like Levi, Levy, and Cohen.
But the process can’t move forward without one critical requirement: a red heifer.
Why? Because for the priests to perform their temple duties, they must first be ritually pure. Numbers 19 explains the process: a perfect red heifer, without blemish and never yoked, must be sacrificed, its ashes gathered, and mixed with water for purification. This water would then be used to cleanse those who had come into contact with death. Without it, ritual purity cannot be achieved.
The requirements are very strict:
The cow must be completely red, no more than two black or white hairs.
It must be young (around three years old).
It must never have been yoked or used for work.
In Israel’s history, only nine red heifers have ever qualified. That’s how rare and valuable they are.
Even King Solomon, known as the wisest man on earth, admitted he did not understand the mystery of the red heifer. Why ashes? Why outside the temple compound? Why mixed with water? The ritual points to something far greater—the perfect sacrifice of Yeshua, as the book of Hebrews (9:13–14) explains.
Now here’s the exciting part: recently, five young red heifers were flown to Israel from Texas. If they remain spotless and without blemish as they mature, even one of them could qualify for this sacred purpose. If so, this would provide the final missing piece needed before the Third Temple could be rebuilt.
What does this mean for us?
For believers in Yeshua, it validates once again the truth of the Bible. The fact that everything is being prepared—the implements, the priests, and possibly the red heifer—reminds us that prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes.
But there’s also a sobering reality. The Third Temple, which some see as a great achievement, will actually be the Tribulation Temple—the one the Antichrist himself will desecrate. This means the Tribulation is near. And if the Tribulation is near, then the Rapture of the Church is even closer.
So yes, we can rejoice at the prophetic significance, but it should also stir us with urgency. This is not just about prophecy—it’s about people’s eternal destiny. Only those who have trusted Yeshua as Messiah will be in God’s presence forever.
My friends, time is short. We need to share the Good News more than ever. Let’s keep an eye on those red heifers, because all it takes is one. And right now—it’s looking pretty good.
Thank you for watching and listening. Please remember to subscribe, share with your friends, hit the bell, and give us a thumbs up. Until next time—shalom, and be blessed.
