The Pretribulation
Rapture
Amir Tsarfati: Rapture Doubts?
Don’t be swayed by naysayers – the rapture is part of God’s miraculous plan. Let’s encourage one another with these words.
Rapture Doubts?
The book of Romans is pure doctrine—teaching us the hope we must hold on to, the perseverance we must walk in, and the promise that one day not only our souls and spirits, but even our bodies will be redeemed out of this world.
Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 4: “I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.”
This is not Paul’s opinion—it’s the Word of the Lord. He assures us that those alive at Christ’s coming will not precede those who are asleep. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.”
Our citizenship is no longer here—it’s in heaven. When believers die, they don’t really die; they go home. Just as a child falls asleep in the living room and wakes up in his bedroom, so we fall asleep here and wake up there. What a comfort!
Don’t listen to the scoffers and mockers who ridicule the Rapture. Yes, it sounds extraordinary—but so did the parting of the Red Sea, Elijah’s whirlwind, Jesus ascending into the clouds, or the Jordan River rolling back for Israel to cross. The God of miracles is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The Rapture is no problem for Him. It is our blessed hope. Don’t let the world’s unbelief lull you to sleep—be ready.
