Pastor, Speaker, Teacher, Zionist
Hebrew Christian Mission
New York City, New York
Background
Arno Clemens Gaebelein (1861–1945) was a pastor, author, and Bible teacher recognized as one of the early leaders in dispensational prophecy teaching. A Jewish Christian immigrant from Germany, he became a strong voice for the authority of Scripture and the role of Israel in God’s prophetic plan.
Gaebelein served as an associate of C. I. Scofield and contributed significantly to the notes in the Scofield Reference Bible. He was also editor of Our Hope magazine, through which he spread teaching on prophecy, dispensationalism, and Christ’s imminent return. His ministry, both pastoral and literary, helped shape early 20th-century evangelical thought.
