Bill Salus: Salvation After the Rapture

From Here to Eternity: A Practical Guide to the End Times (with Bill Salus & Mondo Gonzalez)

What happens after the Rapture—and how can we prepare loved ones who may be left behind? In this Prophecy Watchers episode, Mondo Gonzalez talks with Bible prophecy researcher Bill Salus about his A-to-Z end-times series: The Now, Next, Last, and Final Prophecies—plus The Millennium—and a portable post-Rapture survival kit designed to point people to Jesus during the Tribulation.

What you’ll learn

  • Imminent “Now” prophecies (e.g., Isaiah 17—Damascus; America’s decline) and Next events (e.g., Ezekiel 38 Gog-Magog, rise of Antichrist, Harlot religion).

  • The Tribulation timeline: seals, trumpets, bowls; two witnesses; “patience of the saints” (Revelation 13:9–10; 14:12–13).

  • The difference between church-age saints and Tribulation saints.

  • The prophetic gap between the Rapture and Daniel’s 70th week (Daniel 9:27).

  • God’s global evangelism during the Tribulation: 144,000, two witnesses, and the angel with the everlasting gospel (Revelation 7, 14).

  • Hope beyond the chaos: the Millennial Kingdom and New Jerusalem.

Salvation After the Rapture

Mondo Gonzalez: Welcome to the program today. My name is Mondo Gonzalez, and I want you to join me on a biblical journey from here to eternity. We have in studio with us Bill Salus. Welcome, Bill.

Bill Salus: Mondo, it’s great to be with you. This is going to be a fun journey.

Mondo: Let’s talk about that journey. One of the things at everyone’s heart is to reach their loved ones with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And yet we also know that when the Rapture happens, it’s going to take the world by surprise—no doubt. Jesus is going to rescue His church and bring them to heaven to be with Him, as first Thessalonians chapter 4 tells us. But that also means we’re going to have loved ones—friends, family, neighbors—who are going to be here after. It’s on your heart—you’re an evangelist at heart—trying to reach people and give them an opportunity to know what to expect. So let’s talk a little bit about this project you’ve been working on.

Bill: That’s a very good point, because once we are raptured out of here, we can no longer evangelize or witness to our loved ones. So we’ve tried to put together a project that will enable us to continue to deliver an important message to our loved ones through that time.

Back in 2017, I embarked upon a series learning what would happen between now and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ—and beyond, into the Millennium and even into the eternal order. Five books came out of this series:

  • The Now Prophecies (2017): These are the unfulfilled ancient biblical predictions that appear to be imminent—meaning they could happen now at the present time. These would be things like the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17. These events are going to grip the world. The church could be here for some of them, or we could be gone. Other examples include disaster in Iran, the toppling of Jordan, the Rapture itself, and a decline of America. There are about a dozen powerful events in that book that have no remaining preconditions—they’re on the stage now.

  • The Next Prophecies (2018): These have a couple of minor preconditions—mostly the Now Prophecies finding fulfillment—but they’re stage-setting and coming at us very closely: Ezekiel 38 (the Gog-Magog invasion), the arrival of the Antichrist on the scene, the coming of the Harlot world religion, and things like that.

  • The Last Prophecies: We get into the tribulation period—what happens in the first three and a half years. You have judgments going on (some put the seal judgments here), the trumpet judgments for sure, the two witnesses in Jerusalem, etc.—a biblical chronology of events.

  • The Final Prophecies: The final three and a half years—treacherous bowl judgments where the wrath of God is completed. We’ve got to get readers through all that tough time. The church won’t be going through the Last or Final Prophecies, of course.

  • The Millennium: Where the church will be back, co-reigning with Jesus Christ. What happens when Jesus comes at the Second Coming—this takes us from now through eternity. After the Millennium we actually have an eternal order.

Mondo: Let’s talk for a moment about the comprehensive nature—your goal to provide this. Why embark on such a long-term, multi-year project?

Bill: I felt called to this duty. Let’s put these prophecies into a logical sequence—ordered chronologically as I think they’ll happen. I could be off a little, but I’ve done my best in a way the common person can understand. Bible prophecy isn’t just for the scholar; it’s for every man, woman, and child. God wants people to know what’s coming between now and eternity.

This series matters because biblical prophecies are, in my estimation, about to start finding fulfillment very soon. That will increase the appetite—within the body of Christ and, hopefully, within the secular world—to find out what the Bible says. The secular worldview is daunting, censored—“fake news.” This series provides information from a prophetic perspective—what I believe God wants people to know. It appeals to believers and unbelievers. For instance, Damascus will be destroyed—it will cease from being a city in Isaiah chapter 17. When that happens, the whole world will watch—believers and unbelievers. The church may still be here; I believe that’s a pre-tribulation prophecy, like the Rapture, in the Now Prophecies. The world will say, “It looks like the Bible forecasted that over 2,700 years ago.”

Mondo: God, in Isaiah chapter 44 and Isaiah 46, puts Himself out there to be tested regarding prophecy. He “brags,” in the best sense, that only He—outside of time—can predict the future 100% accurately. That’s what makes the Bible unique among all religions and supposed holy books: God uses prophecy to authenticate His nature and, ultimately, the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The goal is to reach people with the gospel. We aren’t here to make prophecy experts; at Prophecy Watchers, we use prophecy as a tool to introduce people to the gospel so they can be saved eternally—and avoid some of the things you discuss in your books.

This is a great segue. We have a magazine where we discuss these issues and how prophecy will unfold. Bill writes for it as well. Let’s take a little break.

[Segment: The Prophecy Fanatics]

Mondo: Let’s say an unbeliever meets you on an airplane—“Bill, I’ve heard about you. You’re one of those prophecy fanatics, right?” You say, “Yeah, that’s me.” He says, “Give me some proof we’re living in the last days.” What do you tell them?

Bill: Start with the signs of the last times. The big sign is the rebirth of the nation of Israel. That used to be the “super sign.” Now the super sign that trumps that is: all the end-time signs are converging. Be aware of some converging signs: the destruction of Damascus; Russia, Turkey, and Iran coming together (Ezekiel 38). This book series equips people to understand the signs we see on the world scene. There’s no weapon not fashioned, no national relationship not formed, and no technology not developed that would prohibit the end-times events—everything’s in place: cryptocurrencies, the Russia-Turkey-Iran axis, and more. I’d say, “The things developing around you that concern you—the Bible had a lot to say about them.”

Mondo: We all see through our own eyes. How does the series address my personal experience? “Bill, what’s going to happen to Mondo? I trust Jesus—what’s my future?”

Bill: The series covers what happens to believers in the church, and to believers who come after the church age (after the church is raptured). It addresses the resurrections, the Millennial Kingdom—where the church reigns with Jesus Christ as kings and priests—what happens to the resurrection of the tribulation saints, the Old Testament saints, etc. It charts believers’ course from now into the eternal order—the New Jerusalem—where we’ll have our homes, with God the Father dwelling with His people.

It also talks about the perils for the unbeliever—travails unprecedented in history. At that time, strong delusion will be set in place by Satan (second Thessalonians 2). He’ll no longer be hindered from perpetrating the lie through all deceptive power, signs, and lying wonders. It won’t be popular to believe the Rapture is what happened. Other lies will be out there. If you do believe, you’ll more than likely be martyred for your faith—severe persecution of Christians through three different periods of time. We need to leave behind something for grandchildren and loved ones—so they can know what’s coming now.

Right now, unfortunately, Bible prophecy isn’t a high priority in much of the body of Christ. But for those left behind who come to believe, they’ll cling to every word of Bible prophecy. They will have seen prophecies fulfilled (namely the Rapture). They’ll want to know what God says is next—so they can survive the perils. We want to give them this end-times series—books and DVDs—in a flash drive. When the church is gone, there may be heavy censorship, fewer online Bibles, and propaganda from the Harlot world religion—messages that won’t lead you to Jesus. When someone is fleeing for their life, they won’t carry a library on their back. They’ll need something small—a flash drive with five books and five DVDs—so they’ll know what’s coming. They can plug it into a phone if they can’t carry a laptop. That’s why we put the information in book and DVD formats—and also on a flash drive.

Mondo: Let’s reiterate. When the Rapture takes place, chaos will ensue worldwide. In the Olivet Discourse, Jesus described that time: false teachers, false messiahs—the deception so severe and intense that, if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. We know the elect can’t be deceived as it relates to Jesus, but we can all have false theologies in secondary or tertiary issues. As you mentioned—second Thessalonians 2, Revelation 20—the theme is deception.

The opportunity with this flash drive is an introduction from you: “You’ll have choices to make. There will be deception, explanations for where all these people went. A man will come doing miraculous, supernatural, undeniable things. Don’t believe him. God wants you to know this was all prophesied in advance. The Bible is authenticated.”

Bill: Those people will need encouragement. It won’t be popular to accept Christ then; the lie will be pervasive and powerful, and it will be a costly choice. The likelihood of surviving the three periods of Christian martyrdom through the tribulation and entering the Millennial Kingdom alive is minimal. But prophecy also talks about many getting saved: the fifth-seal saints; in Revelation chapter 7, a great multitude comes out of the Great Tribulation. So there’s encouragement: if you get left behind, there’s hope. You get saved the same way your loved one who was raptured got saved. But now you need a guide: where do I go with my faith? How do I serve the Lord and help others in desperate times? Where do I find food? How do I survive what’s next?

When the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments happen, they affect the whole world—believers and unbelievers. Everyone needs inside information. Bible prophecy is that “inside information” for getting through those times. That’s why so much information is given about the tribulation period—because those people need it. They’ll cling to every word of Bible prophecy.

Mondo: God is holy; He will judge sin—but He desires to reach. Talk about evangelism during the tribulation period.

Bill: God will still deliver His gospel through the 144,000 Jewish witnesses in Revelation chapters 7 and 14—Jewish evangelists. You have two witnesses in the first half of the tribulation in Jerusalem—prophesying and evangelizing. Revelation chapter 14 talks about an angel with the everlasting gospel delivering it to the whole world. With censorship, people will rely on published books, DVDs, flash drives, etc.

Many are asking, “What’s going to happen to me now?” That’s why The Now Prophecies matters—it’s relevant right now. The Next Prophecies gets into a gap between the Rapture and the tribulation and carries a little into the first half of the tribulation. This prophetic gap (post-Rapture, pre-tribulation) exists because it isn’t the Rapture that starts the tribulation—the tribulation starts with the confirmation of the false covenant by the Antichrist in Daniel 9 27. So there’s an unspecified period of time.

This book series and flash drive provide a lot of information geared toward people traveling through those perilous years—what they need to possess. Look what happens in the Millennium—so many great things. I get into that as well. There’s encouragement for those who accept Jesus Christ: they’ll understand the cost—and they’ll also understand this tribulation is a temporary nightmare. It has an expiration date. Then the Millennium comes. Whether they survive to enter it alive, or are resurrected as tribulation saints (which also happens), they still make it.

Mondo: God’s judgment in the tribulation cleanses the earth for His Son to reign. The ultimate question is cost. Jesus mentions the cost of discipleship in Luke chapter 14—“count the cost.” In Revelation 2 10, to a persecuted group He says, “Be faithful unto death, and I’ll give you the crown of life.” That promise applies in different situations—modern-day Iran, China, and certainly during the tribulation—where they’ll have to count the cost: “Is it worth it to keep my faith and endure to the end?” We want to say, “Yes.” This project is so helpful because it provides knowledge and information—to see what’s going on and what will happen all the way to the end, into the Millennial period, into the resurrection—which John says is blessed.

Let’s take a break so you can see how to get more information about this special project.

[Promo: Left Behind Survival Kit]

Since Prophecy Watchers launched our worldwide television ministry, our relationship with Bill Salus has grown as we’ve watched him become one of the world’s leading authorities on Bible prophecy.

Over time, Bill has produced a series of DVDs that take viewers on an A-to-Z end-times journey—your ticket to every future prophetic event described in the Bible. How does someone unfamiliar with Bible prophecy keep the events straight?

At Prophecy Watchers, we teach a pre-tribulation Rapture. Revelation 3 10 tells us we can escape the terrible time coming upon the earth. The tribulation is when God judges our increasingly wicked world. While we believe Jesus will rapture us before His wrath comes, we can’t help but think about those left behind.

After the Rapture, we expect a great revival as people realize what happened. Panic will set in, and our family and friends left behind will search for answers. Enter Bill’s end-times survival kit: a tiny portable flash drive containing all five of Bill’s most important studies on DVD and all five of his books, documenting what’s next. While designed for those left behind, many will want this educational survival kit beforehand—why would anyone want to be left behind when the glories of heaven await those who trust Jesus?

Bill’s portable Rapture kit also includes a New King James Bible and is available from Prophecy Watchers for your gift of 50 or more (shipping included in the USA). It also includes a one-of-a-kind free bonus: Left Behind author Tim LaHaye’s very last prophecy message, delivered shortly before he was promoted to glory—at 90 years of age—a crystal-clear message on Bible prophecy and how to be certain you’re going to heaven.

This is our mission at Prophecy Watchers—doing whatever we can to keep people out of the tribulation. Bill Salus shares our passion for the Rapture and for those who will be left behind. Get your Survival Kit by calling the toll-free number on your screen 24/7 and asking for the Left Behind Survival Kit, or visit prophecywatchers.tv. Keep it for yourself, share it with others now, or leave it behind so when Jesus calls us home, others can still get the good news and instructions for the future. Thanks for watching. We believe Jesus is coming very soon. Remember: the only thing you can take with you to heaven is your family and friends—so make sure they know the way.

Mondo: This is an absolutely great project. I’m personally excited. Bill has comprehensive books on the flash drive, DVDs, an introduction—hoping to include Bibles—so someone has what they need to carry with them and find encouragement.

Bill, talk about that—the Book of Revelation gives information to believers at that time.

Bill: There’s a period after the church age, into the tribulation, which I call the “patience of the saints” period. Two passages:

  • Revelation 13, verse 9: “If anyone has an ear, let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” In other words, those left behind who receive Christ may try to avoid martyrdom—leading into captivity, killing with the sword—but Jesus is warning: you do that, you’ll be killed by the sword; captivity to captivity. It’s a different time.

  • Revelation 14, verses 12 and 13: “Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on… that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” He’s saying, “You’re blessed for your sacrifice and martyrdom—you made the right choice by believing in Jesus Christ.”

We’re dealing with people we love who will go through this perilous time. We want to give them something—because when we’re gone, we can’t give anything; we’ll be in heaven with Jesus. That’s why it’s really important to get this information to them—because we love them and want them to be aware, to be patient, and to believe in Jesus Christ.

Mondo: Let’s make an important distinction. Some get confused and think because it says “saints” persecuted by the Antichrist that it’s the church. Theologically, there’s a distinction.

Bill: Correct. The church is its own distinct entity—the bride of Christ—with special roles, especially in the Millennium. The “saints” there are people who become believers after the Rapture—tribulation saints. They’re not part of the church age; it’s a different dispensation, facing distinctly treacherous prophecies.

Mondo: Bill, appreciate you being here. As we think about your project—wholeheartedly, this is awesome—I’m glad you’re doing it. The goal is for nobody to be left behind. We’ll continue to share the gospel and host Bible experts so those here now can escape the tribulation. We ask for your continued prayers. You can find us at our website; you can find us on YouTube, Rumble; much of our digital content is on your screen. Go to our website to find us in various places.

We appreciate you watching this week—it’s been a great time together. Bill, thanks again, and we will see you next time.
