Increasingly tragic events continue to transpire as the economic situation worsens…

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

These aren’t just for you, I need to be reminded every day…

The main question being “WHAT is going on!?” … we know the answer of course, there is warring for souls in the heavenlies and all around us, but the question still begs to be asked.

The recent news of the man who killed his wife and 5 children in LA has been weighing on me all day…even though it’s no longer ‘news’.

Money problems are causing people to do insane things lately… it’s tragic, and I’m afraid it’s just the beginning. Tens of thousands of people were laid off just yesterday by Seattle headquartered companies; Boeing 20,000, Starbucks 6,000 , Microsoft 5,000,

For far too long too many people have focused all of their attention on chasing money instead of on chasing God, and when the money is gone their foundation is gone so their perception of the world falls apart, leaving nothing for them to stand on…hopeless and falling.

But our foundation is the Rock who never changes.

The word “FOUNDATION” is now stuck in my mind, compelling a concordance search of course…

Psalm 11

In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.

For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them.

The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.

On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Exchanging the truth for a lie

The results of our country's recent elections clearly show that many people have exchanged the truth for a lie.

In California Proposition 8 narrowly passed, adding an amendment to the state constitution which defines marriage as being between a man and a woman. Yet nearly 47% of the state voiced their opinion that homosexuality should be accepted by all as normal and acceptable. This contradicts our nation's historical, conservative, traditional beliefs that what the Holy Bible clearly says on the issue is true and right. (Romans 1:26-28, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Lev. 20:13, Lev. 18-22, 1 Timothy 1:8-10, ) The people have spoken.

California is a liberal state, where Democrats are in the majority and often get their way. But even with a majority there were enough Democrats whose conscience would not allow them to redefine that which God says is 'wrong' as 'right'. It's a matter of morality, not of hate or prejudice as many claim. How do you define morality? By whose authority? The accusations that it is hateful or prejudicial to not allow men to marry men or women to marry women are lies from the Devil who has come to steal, kill and destroy all that is good that God has in mind for you. You may or may not believe that there is a real Devil, but if you doubt his existence, your doubt does not make him any less real (The same can be said of those who do not believe that there is one God, the creator of all). I assure you that there is a real Devil who is known by various names; Satan, Lucifer, the Dragon, the Beast. His fate is sealed. He has been condemned by God Himself, the ultimate righteous judge, to spend all eternity in a place that was created just for him called Hell. There is nothing good in Hell, not one thing. Contrary to what many believe, Hell was not created for people, it was created for the Devil and the fallen angels who chose to worship him instead of the one true, living God. God does not want anyone to perish… This means that God does not want anyone to be separated from him for all eternity in Hell. More than anything God desires for each person to choose life, to receive the free gift He offers them and to spend eternity with Him in a place called Heaven where there are no tears, no pain, no death. There is a way to get to heaven. Jesus Christ says "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life." Anyone who ultimately finds them self in Hell will have chosen their own destiny by rejecting God's call to turn away from sin and to believe in Him.

The Bible does not describe homosexuality as a "greater" sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many sins which separate people from their Creator. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, you, me, everyone.

Sadly, a few laws have passed which mark the decline of morality in our society. In Washington state a proposition passed which allows for the administration of lethal drugs to anyone who is deemed to be terminally ill with less than 6 months to live. In other words, it's ok to kill someone if they're suffering. Another law which has passed says that parents are not required to be notified prior to their children getting an abortion.

What has happened to the sanctity of life?

What is written in the Bible about what is 'right' and what is 'wrong' is not a matter of interpretation, it has been made clear to all.

Satan's first deception was "Did God really say, "…." ?

Morality must be defined by an absolute authority and there is no more absolute authority than God. Otherwise, if morality is left to mankind to define by referendum then it will change with the times until that which is evil is deemed to be good. Those times have arrived.

We've been warned again and again in recent years, Judgment is at the door.

Pray for our country, for the souls who have not yet turned to Christ as the author and perfecter of Life and Savior of their souls, if they would only believe it and turn from their sin.

Free will, or the 'right to choose' does not negate our responsibility to value and protect life above all else.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

What if the titles of today's popular movie releases were applied to upcoming biblical prophecies of end-time events which draw nearer each day? Lets consider a few…

'An Inconvenient Truth' by Al Gore: Jesus Christ is the Way, the only Way. No apologies for this truth, and there is nothing you can do to change it. Global Warming smells of Global Government. While it is true that we may be experiencing climate change in parts of the world, to suggest that that it is permanent or potentially catastrophic unless humans alter their behavior is absurd and is largely backed by what can only be called 'bad science'. To refute this 'theory' is to be labeled 'stupid' by the liberal media juggernaut. However, I must admit that I am amazed at the momentum building behind this unprecedented merger of environmental causes and politcal agendas.For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

During the family dinner hour movie trailers are being broadcast on network television which could hardly be described as suitable for young children to view. Currently there is a trailer for a movie called 'The Reaping' starring Hillary Swank and David Morrissey which is COMING SOON. The movie depicts a variety of biblical plagues which affect people on earth. The 'reaping' these filmmakers are referring to is the Great Tribulation as described in the Book of Revelation. While a 'reaping' is coming soon, what is more important is believing that Jesus the messiah is COMING SOON (for the 2nd time), so I suppose suppose Hollywood would tag any movie they made on this impending event as

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
