Looking for the Messiah

January 18, 2009 By Trumpeter Leave a Comment

Love of Money, Increase of WickednessFor the first time in recorded history we see 3 of the world's major religions looking for the appearance of their savior, messiah or enlightened one.

Christians are looking toward the Second Coming which is the return of their savior, Jesus Christ, the son of God.

Jews are looking for their messiah to come for the first time.

Muslims are looking for the return of the Mahdi, or enlightened one.

The meaning of Islam is 'peace'. Peace in the Middle East between the Arab nations and Israel is the ultimate but elusive objective of all governments which are involved in the so-called peace process.

While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
1 Thess 5:3

They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace.
Jeremiah 6:14

Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
Revelation 6:4

Christians also believe in the appearance of a global leader who rises from obscurity. A man who speaks of peace but who also is hell bent on destruction. His title is the Antichrist and his number is 666. I personally do not believe that it will be possible to identify who this person is until a 7 year peace treaty is signed between Israel and presumably the Arab Nations. The word 'Anti' is Greek and not only means 'in opposition to' but also means 'in place of'. So by his very nature he will be against God, but will see himself as a god or savior of humanity.

I found myself wondering about the Bible passage describing people saying "Peace, peace" … wondering if that might be translated as "Islam, Islam" since the meaning of 'Islam' is 'peace'.

The Koran mandates the muslims "fight against those who believe not in Allah" who refuse to accept what Allah or Mohammed taught, even if they are the People of the Book, who are essentially the Christians and the Jews, until they pay a tax in acknowledgment of the superiority of Islam and until they are in a state of subjection.

From the Koran 009.030 :

"The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!"

There can never be true amity between the world's 3 major religions. Judaism and Christianity will eventually be reconciled when the Jews look upon the One who they pierced and weep in acknowledgment of their error. What will happen to the third religion, Islam? While it is true that Islam is currenlty the fastest growing religion in the world, it's destiny can only be to cease to be, to not even be a memory in His story.

Anything could happen on a moments notice.

April 22, 2003 By Trumpeter Leave a Comment

So the war with Iraq has essentially ended, atleast for the time being. However, the situation in the Middle East is still very unstable, anything could happen on a moments notice. If the Shiite Muslims end up controling Iraq it probably wouldn’t bid well for women in that country or for relations with the Western world. Iraq could turn into an Iranian puppet state. Iraq’s neighbor, Syria, should be worried because of their recent aid to the enemy and harboring of terrorists and former Iraqi regime members. Syria’s belligerent behavior is capturing the unwanted attention of the good ‘ole USA. I doubt we’ll invade Syria, but its not unprobable that we’d send over a six pack of missles to get the message across. Its just a matter of time until Syria’s captial is completely destroyed.

Isaiah 17:1
An oracle concerning Damascus:
“See, Damascus will no longer be a city
but will become a heap of ruins.

It doesn’t matter whether the destroyer of Damascus is the USA, a coalition, or Israel, it’s going to happen. Intolerance can be a very positive attitude, especially when applied to terrorism.

Although North Korea has toned down their rhetoric in recent weeks, they have announced that they are converting their radioactive material to weapons grade material. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.

SARS (severe accute respiratory syndrome) is capturing global headlines as governments are moving to quarantine those who are infected in an attempt to curb the epidemic which has a 5% mortality rate so far. People all over the world are wearing surgical masks in high risk, highly trafficked areas like airports and hospitals. The local economies of areas infected are suffering greatly. Many restaurants and schools in Hong Kong have closed. Some people wonder if this virus won’t turn into a plague of sorts.

America mourns for 7 brave Space Shuttle Columbia astronauts

February 1, 2003 By Trumpeter Leave a Comment

America mourns for the 7 brave Space Shuttle Columbia astronauts who died this morning, 40 miles high in the skies over Texas. Even the national news has mentioned that the Internet is already buzzing with conspiracy theories of terrorism since this particular flight included Israel’s first astronaut ever, Ilan Ramon. I don’t have any conspiracy theory to offer, but if there is any prophetic significance to this tragedy, I’d have to say that it might be ‘The USA and Israel are going down in flames over Palestine‘. Why would I say something like that? It may be too much for coincidence that this happened over Palestine, Texas. The city which is reported to have been hit by most of the debris is Nacodoches, but debris is falling in Palestine Texas as well, only 67 miles from Nacodoches. Just last Tuesday night, President Bush said during his State of the Union Address, “In the Middle East, we will continue to seek peace between a secure Israel and a democratic Palestine.” This may sound like a noble cause, but giving away the Promised Land to Israel’s murderous enemies is not part of God’s plan. All efforts by the United States to help establish a Palestinian State within Israel should be abandoned immediately. Regardless of the United State’s role in the upcoming Peace Treaty offered by the coming Antichrist, God’s Will will be done.

The sun is setting as I take advantage of a quiet Sunday to make some long overdue updates to the front page. It seems that the sun is setting on this era as well, that is, the age of the Church is drawing to a close. There’s so much on my mind. Its the warmest January that I can remember, yet in Florida the oranges are freezing. In recent weeks thousands of sailors and soldiers have left port, headed for Iraq. The liberal media rants on about how unpopular the idea of war is, that President Bush’s poll ratings are dropping, that many foreign governments will not join the United States led coalition. The Bible says that God appoints our nation’s leaders. So nobody should question that President Bush has been appointed as leader of the United States for a time such as this. Saddam Hussein is going to be dealt with for the last time. I really can’t bring myself to believe that the reasons behind the President’s decision are as shallow as some say. He hardly seems the type who feels the United States must use force to make a point or demonstrate our power. No, its more likely that his reasons run much deeper. Do any of the liberals ever consider that our country’s leaders have access to intelligence about Iraq (and other countries) that could not possibly be shared with the public? Has anyone considered that we might also be honoring a treaty to protect Israel from those who hate God and abhor peace? I’m not the least bit excited about this upcoming war, but I’m not the least bit opposed to it either. If Saddam Hussein is close to obtaining or creating a nuclear weapon, then he has to be stopped now, end of story.

The number of incoming questions and remarks from this web site has been increasing lately. This suggests to me that people are looking for answers. Some people might be experiencing dread that a world war could result from our foray into the Middle East, after all, Armageddon is the valley of Meggido in Israel. Put your trust in God, that despite what happens, He is still in control.

As if the problem in Iraq wasn’t enough, North Korea is becoming rather belligerent. I’ve wondered if Kim Jong II might be planning to invade South Korea when the United States is in the thick of it with Iraq.

Well, as of a few days ago its been reported that President Bush has made it clear that under two specific scenarios the United States will use nuclear weapons in Iraq if need be. The first being if we are attacked with chemical or biological agents, the second being if we need to destroy an undergound fortifed target that conventional weapons would be useless against.
